Donate Items for Children in Need
Our 2024 donation drives are supporting two organizations:
SOCIETY OF SAINT VINCENT DE PAUL
Donate new children’s toys, shoes, and boots to the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul. These donations will be distributed directly to children in need throughout the Akron area.
For this drive we encourage you to shop from the VWB Day of Service Ozanam wish list on Amazon and choose to ship to the wish list address or your home address. You may also choose to shop on your own (go local!).
Donation Drop Off
If shopping the Amazon wish list, we encourage you to ship your donations directly to the wish list address. All other donations will be received on:
Saturday, Sept. 28, 8:30 a.m.-noon at Wood Hollow Metro Park (Friends of the Poor Walk)
FOSTERING HOPE
We are partnering with Fostering Hope to supply and pack "Journey Bags" for children in foster care. Journey bags include basic supplies to help a child who is transitioning into foster care and help brighten a child's outlook.
For this donation:
Shop from Fostering Hope's "Mighty Vincent" wish list on Amazon
Make a note during checkout that your donation is for the Mighty Vincent project
Select "Fostering Hope's Gift Registry Address" as the shipping address
Your selections will ship directly to Fostering Hope to be used in the Journey Bag packing project on Saturday, Sept. 21.
As always, we welcome donations to The Vincent William Baran Charitable Fund, and all donations received in August and September 2024 will be granted to the non-profit organizations with which we partner for this purpose.
